Thomas Martin's Research

Mr. Martin starts below with Roscoe Kenneth Martin, son of Nanie (Nancy Ann Miller) and Wallace Blair Martin. Nannie was the daughter of Clara Cleina Eller, daughter of James H. Eller, son of John Eller, son of George Eller, son of Christian Eller.

Roscoe Kenneth Martin was my grandfather. He was married to Agnes Marie Jackson, had 4 boys and later divorced (late 50's I think, I would take a stab at 1956-1957). My grandfather remarried to Lila Awney (not sure on last name spelling). Her son is still alive in Peoria or Pekin, Ill. Roscoe Kenneth "Ken" Martin (he went by Ken) died Feb 26, 1985.
Roscoe Kenneth Martin had 4 boys, they were:

• William Martin
• Paul Robert Martin b 12-12-38 (fraternal twins)
• John Thomas Martin I b 12-12-38 (fraternal twins). My father is John Thomas Martin I, he married Cathey Sue Haner, and had 2 children, myself, Thomas John Martin and my sister Theresa Lynn Martin (now Beck). 
• Richard Lee (or Leander) Martin (died around 1994)

Tracing back, we sort of lost the Martin side at James Green Martin, who was Wallace Blair Martin's grandfather. Wallace Blair married Nancy Ann Miller (Nannie, which is a name I don't recall, but my dad might, as he knew them pretty well before they died). Wallace Blair was son of William B Martin. My dad does remember going to their house as a child. He did know Nannie and Wallace.

This is Grandpa Miller, Nancy Ann's boys are below, my grandfather being the most right, Wendall died young before Nancy Ann or Wallace Blair Martin, Chester died in 71, 6 months after he retired, his wife, my Aunt Francis had no children, only Roscoe Kenneth (Ken) my grandfather did, he had 4 boys, William (Bill, after Wallace Blair's father?), Paul Robert (Bob), John Thomas (Tom) who were fraternal twins) and Richard (Dick).  Dick died I think in the late 90's, he had Diabetes since 16 and had heart problems.  The twins are 70 now, turning 71 in Dec 09.  William is older, but not too much older, a year or 2.

Roscoe Kenneth "Ken" Martin (son of Nancy Ann Miller and Wallace Blair Martin) with Aunt Bertha.  She was the organist in her church, my dad said she was always very happy and always had a smile on her face.  All the pictures show it.  She was married to a Royer.  Grace Miller married Ernest Taylor.  He was in the Navy.
